Best Luxury Hotel in Knoxville
We love Knoxville, Tennessee. Obviously it's home to Knox Occasions, but Knoxville is so inviting with her southern hospitality, surrounding mountains, lakes and rivers, and just her all around charm. Her quaint farmers market in the heart of downtown, her riverside eateries overlooking the Henley Street bridge and the Tennessee River. I could go on and on, but I want to tell you about our favorite, high end, place to stay when you are visiting our beautiful city! And I have to say, this blog post took a lot of research on my part. I would never let you settle for less than top shelf and it took me a few tries to find the best of the best, but y'all...I found it!
Our pick for the 'Best Luxury Hotel in Knoxville' is The Tennessean, located in the heart of downtown Knoxville.
Y'all. This place is amazing. It's quaint and so elegant all at the same time. And the governors suite? Pictures do not do this suite justice. It has a gigantic living area, with a panoramic view, overlooking the river and other beautiful Knoxville buildings. Included in this living area is a gorgeous piano, fireplace, TV, and the beautiful foyer entryway which connects you to the dinning room and the master bedroom. There is also a connecting door off to the side of the living space for your nanny or, for you even fancier few, an Au Pair.
The master bedroom overlooks downtown Knoxville with the most luxurious bedding, beautiful custom artwork, and a master bathroom to make any woman swoon. Ladies, there is foot rest, in the massive see through shower, for you to place your foot on while you tend to your leg grooming needs. Um....can we have those installed in every shower please? This bathroom has everything. Top of the line toiletries, fluffy robes, and slippers. It's heavenly. And from a wedding planner perspective, this suite has the perfect amount of space for you and your entire bridal party (or groomsmen) to sleep the night before the wedding, and for everyone to get ready, comfortably, the day of your wedding!
The Tennessean offers turn down service, which is a huge YES! in my book. They have butler-trained servers, as well as concierge agents to help you navigate Knoxville for the best experience while you're visiting. The Governor's Suite is on the higher end of pricing in the $3,000 range, but well worth the price for the suite and all of the accommodations that are offered within the hotel. And a secret between you and me, that price may be lower depending upon availability, so make sure to ask the price when you call to book! They also offer rooms at lower rates with views of Knoxville's infamous Sunsphere. The Panoramic King room is a beauty with an entire wall of windows overlooking the World's Fair site.
But, wait y'all, there's more! Cue the trumpets and a drum roll please!
The Drawing Room.
Guys! This room is hands down my favorite feature at The Tennessean. When I first walked in I immediately thought "Don Draper's Cigar Parlor". I mean, this room is chic down to it's, award winning, Smoked Old Fashioned. It overlooks downtown Knoxville, and when the sunlight goes down and the low lights come up inside the Drawing Room, it's magical.
And to add another gold star on our Best Luxury Hotel winner, The Tennessean is also Knoxville's only 4-Star hotel. All in all, The Tennessean has it all and is the best choice when you're looking for the top shelf hotel in the Knoxville area.
